The Triangle Midline Theorem states that: 1) The segment joining the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side. 2) This segment (the midline) is half as long as the third side. 3) Given triangle ABC, with midline ML cutting sides BA and BC at their midpoints, the Triangle Midline Theorem states that ML is parallel to AC and has half the length of AC.
