Member of the Willie & Martin Handcart Companies. On Tuesday, December 4, 1855, William received the Millennial Star, No. 49, Vol. 17. Listed in this edition were the names of the Elders who were released to emigrate to the mountains. William’s name was among those released with the time of release set for February 1, 1856. His comments were, “This gave me satisfaction, as I was desirous to go home.”
