Maureen McNeil is a lecturer in the Cultural Studies Department of the University of Birmingham. She is the author of Under the Banner of Science: Erasmus Darwin and His Age (1987) and editor of Gender and Expertise (1987). Her research and teaching are centred on (but not restricted to) science, technology and popular culture, and gender relations and science and technology.
