About this document

Fungi in Nasal Hairs of Molossid Bats by Diana Becerra is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This document describes a study characterizing fungi found associated with the nasal hairs of three species of Molossid bats in Brazil. Nasal hairs from 12 individual bats of the species Cynomops planirostris, Molossus molossus, and Molossus rufus were cultured, yielding 22 fungal isolates representing 11 unique sequence types from the genera Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Paecilomyces, and Penicillium. This represents the first report of fungi associated with the nasal hairs of Molossid bats.
