Recyclable Porous Adsorbents as Environmentally Approach for Greenhouse Gas Capture by Nour F. Attia; Sally E. A. Elashery; Ahmed A. Galhoum; Hyunchul Oh; Ibrahim El T. El Sayed is a book available to read on EtoBox.
What is Recyclable Porous Adsorbents as Environmentally Approach for Greenhouse Gas Capture about?
The extensive usage of fossil fuels due to the expansion of industrial activities causes huge emissions of carbon dioxide gas which is the main greenhouse gas. Hence, this accelerates the global warming effect and its associated climate change phenomena. To this end, efficient capture of harmful CO 2 emissions is a necessary and mandatory process for environmental pollution protection. Therefore, the capture of carbon dioxide through energy-efficient and fast-kinetic adsorption process in porous materials is a useful and direct approach. On the other hand, the huge accumulation of bio-waste products from various sources has a negative impact on the environment. Thus, environmental and cost-effective recycling of biomass materials to valuable materials for high-tech applications is required and appreciated. In the meantime, converting biomass wastes to porous carbon materials through consecutive carbonization and activation process is a cost-effective process for producing efficient porous adsorbents for CO 2 capture. In this chapter, all the processes used for synthesis of porous carbons for CO 2 adsorbents will be
