Can I read Linear Accelerators on EtoBox?
Linear Accelerators by Pierre M.; Septier, Albert L. (editors) Lapostolle is a nonfiction available to read on EtoBox.
What is Linear Accelerators about?
A detailed description of the possible methods for measuring accelerated electron beam parameters can, of course, not be given in such a short chapter. In particular, we shall not discuss the technological problems raised by different types of measuring instruments. More details will be given in chapter B.2.4. Moreover, the references are mainly cited as typical examples and do not constitute an exhaustive bibliography on the subject. This chapter merely proposes a classification of certain general problems encountered whenever accelerated electron beam characteristics are to be measured: electrical characteristics (mean current, peak current \(I_{\mathrm{p}}(t)\) during length of pulse, total charge of elementary electron bunch, density distribution along accelerating sinusoidal electric field, etc.); geometrical characteristics (position of center of gravity for a cylindrical slice of accelerated charges with reference to linac axis, charge density distribution within such a slice, etc.); mechanical characteristics (beam emittance, energy spectrum of accelerated electrons).
