The primary outcome was overall survival. The study found that the combination of ipilimumab and dacarbazine resulted in significantly longer overall survival compared to dacarbazine and placebo, with higher survival rates at 1, 2, and 3 years. Grade 3-4 adverse events were more common with the combination therapy.
