About this document

Heart and Double Circulation Overview by akm habibullah is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The heart contains two pumps that work together in a double circulation system. One pump sends deoxygenated blood to the lungs where oxygen diffuses into the blood and carbon dioxide diffuses out. The oxygenated blood is then pumped by the other pump through the arteries to the rest of the body. In the body, cells absorb oxygen from the blood and release carbon dioxide and other wastes, then in the lungs the process is reversed as blood absorbs oxygen and releases carbon dioxide.
