What is Tasman Independence Crane Accident Report about?

An accident occurred at approximately 1300 hours on 14 January 2004 at the Port of Bluff in New Zealand. While using the No. 2 after gantry crane on the Tasman Independence to lower dunnage into a cargo hold, the sling of dunnage, cargo spreader, and pulley frame attached to the crane fell from their suspended position onto the quay. There was damage to the crane, cargo gear equipment, and the quay, but no injuries. An investigation was carried out to determine the cause of the accident.
