While these agents can act aspowerful tools for both offensive and defensiveoperations, the very agentic context introducesa new class of inherent security risks. In thiswork we present the first holistic survey of theagentic security landscape, structuring the fieldaround three interdependent pillars: Applications, Threats, and Defenses. We provide acomprehensive taxonomy of over 150 papers,explaining how agents are used, the vulnerabilities they possess, and the countermeasures designed to protect them.
