What is Emotional Education and Character Formation about?

[1] The education of emotions is important to strengthen good actions through love and joy, and to firmly reject evil through strength and resilience. [2] Often there is a misunderstanding about the education of emotions that leads to educational failures, such as the idea that emotions escape control. [3] The author argues that an "emotivist education" fails by treating emotions as something external, instead of integrating them in the service of good.
