X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analysis showed the particles possessed an anatase crystal phase and spherical micron-sized morphology. The photocatalytic activity of the synthesized titanium dioxide for degrading methylene blue under ultraviolet light was higher than a commercial counterpart.
