This document describes an automatic AA nicad battery charger circuit that can charge between 1-8 AA batteries at a time. It charges batteries at either a 5-hour rate or 14-hour rate, and automatically turns off when charging is complete. The circuit uses a timing chip and constant current charging to safely charge batteries without overcharging. Instructions are provided on adapting the charger to also charge C and D batteries.
