Two postulates of extended irreversible thermodynamics for non-classical heat conduction of rigid bodies are considered, where additional variables are the heat flux or internal energy time derivative. In the context of the developed thermodynamic formalism the linear approximation of generalized temperature is obtained. It is shown that the generalized temperature is defined by the form of non-classical heat transfer equations.
