Bradford, Biuret, and Lowry methods can all be used to determine protein concentration spectrophotometrically. Bradford is the most convenient as it is faster, simpler, more sensitive, and accurate than the other two methods. It uses binding of Coomassie Brilliant Blue dye to proteins to measure concentration. Biuret method uses color change upon binding to peptide bonds but is less sensitive. Lowry is most sensitive but involves multiple incubation steps, making it less convenient than Bradford.
