What is Borehole Lab about?

The document discusses how moon snails and oyster drills bore holes in bivalve shells to feed on the flesh inside. A lab was conducted where predated shells were collected and the location of boreholes was recorded. It was found that most boreholes occurred in the sector nearest the umbo or hinge of the shell, which is the oldest and thinnest part, allowing the fastest access to the flesh inside.
