Muhammad (peace upon him) is the chief prophet of Islam. He was born in Mecca in 570CE. At age 9, he joined his uncle on a caravan to Syria. At age 25, he worked as a merchant for Khadija and later married her. In 610 CE, at age 40, while contemplating in a cave called "Hira", he received the first verses of the Quran from Allah. Muhammad died in 632.
