Prophet Yunus was sent by Allah to call his people to worship only Allah, but they refused to listen and continued worshipping idols. When a storm hit the boat Prophet Yunus was traveling on, he was thrown overboard and swallowed by a large fish. Inside the fish, Prophet Yunus prayed to Allah in repentance. Allah commanded the fish to return Prophet Yunus to dry land unharmed. The story teaches Muslims to worship only Allah, invite others to do the same patiently, and pray to Allah during difficulties.
