This study investigated the prevalence of malaria parasite infection among children attending the paediatric ward of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital in Nigeria. Blood samples from 100 children aged 0-15 years were tested for malaria parasites. The overall prevalence of malaria infection was found to be 57%.
