This study investigates the enhancement of photocatalytic activity in one-dimensional TiO2 nanorods (TONRs) by decorating them with plasmonic nanoparticles (Ag and Au). The research demonstrates that the size-engineered Au PNPs significantly improve the photocatalytic performance due to their superior Schottky effect and plasmonic activity compared to Ag PNPs. The findings highlight the potential of PNP-TONRs hybrids for effective visible light-driven photocatalysis.
