magnification. Anti-CD10 immunohistochemistry (IHC) was performed as per the PD protocol. The ImageJ software was used for image processing and analysis, with the plugins IHC\_Toolbox, FracLac, and Map\_BoneMicrostructure. Statistical analysis was performed in SPSS v18.0: parametricity was determined by Q-Q plots, Mann-Whitney U test and Student t-test were used for comparing non-parametrical and parametrical data respectively, and Bonferroni's correction was used to determine p-values. This study was approved by the HCPA institutional review board under the number #18-0654. Results: GD patients had lower median canalicular area (0.56μm 2 vs 0.68μm 2 , p b .001), perimeter (3.63 μm vs 4.00 μm, p = .006), Feret diameter (1.31 μm vs 1.42 μm, p = .012), and perimeter:Feret ratio (2.70 vs 2.79, p b .001) than healthy controls. Mean canalicular thickness was lower in GD than in controls (4.77 ± 0.66 μm × 5.33 ± 0.33 μm, p = .035). There was no difference in canalicular density between groups. Discussion: We have found that GD patients have smaller and thinner hepatic canaliculi than healthy controls, although the total canalicular area remains preserved. Also, a lower perimeter:Feret ra
