What is Arachne: The Weaver about?

The story of Arachne tells of a talented weaver in ancient Greece who boasts that her skills surpass those of Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom. After a weaving contest judged by Zeus, Arachne realizes her inferiority and is transformed into a spider by Athena, allowing her to continue weaving without a loom. This myth explains the origin of spiders and suggests that Arachne may still exist in their form.
