About this document
Youth Soccer Lactate Threshold Study by Mario0405 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The study examined changes in aerobic endurance in professional youth soccer players over a season through sub-maximal blood lactate testing. Running velocities at the first lactate inflection point (v-Tlac) and at 4 mmol/L of blood lactate (v-4mM) increased significantly from the start of pre-season training to early in the competitive season, but remained unchanged relative to maximum heart rate. This suggests increased endurance was mainly due to improvements in maximum oxygen uptake rather than lactate
