What is Stepper Motor Operation and Theory about?
The stepper motor uses pulses of electricity to turn the shaft a precise number of degrees. It works by using the magnetic interaction between the stator and rotor. The rotor will turn 15 degrees for each pulse as it has six poles and the stator has eight poles. Changing the current in the stator windings causes the rotor to move incrementally in steps to control its position and speed without sensors.
