This study evaluates the lateral deformations of diaphragm walls and ground surface settlements caused by deep excavation at five metro stations in Ahwaz, Iran. Measurements taken during the excavation of Kargar Square Station indicated that surface settlements were higher near the wall, and numerical modeling was used to predict settlements and deformations at greater depths.
