There are several common types of brick bonding arrangements used in masonry walls. Stretcher bond consists of all bricks laid horizontally with subsequent courses laid half bonded. English bond uses alternating horizontal rows of stretchers and headers to produce quarter bond. Flemish bond also uses alternating stretchers and headers but with the headers centered over stretchers in the below course.
