About this document
MikroTik VLAN Configuration Guide by Musyaffak S is a document available to read on EtoBox.
- VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) allows multiple virtual LANs to exist on a single physical interface, segmenting traffic for security and management. - IEEE 802.1Q defines the standard encapsulation for VLAN traffic by adding a 4-byte tag to Ethernet frames. - RouterOS supports up to 4095 VLAN interfaces per physical interface, each with a unique VLAN ID, to segregate traffic. Routers are required to route between VLANs since they operate at Layer 3.
