What is Pathophysiology of Pediatric CAP about?
Pediatric community acquired pneumonia is usually caused by inhalation of microorganisms like streptococcus pneumoniae into the lower respiratory tract. When the microorganism invades the lungs, it activates B-cells to release antibodies, causing an antigen-antibody reaction that adheres to the lung lining and triggers inflammation.
