What is Importing OVA/OVF in VMware Fusion about?

You can import an Open Virtualization Format (OVF) virtual machine file into VMware Fusion to run the virtual machine. To do so, download and install Fusion, obtain an .ovf or .ova file, select File > Import in Fusion, select the file and provide a name and location for the imported virtual machine. Fusion will then import the virtual machine and add it to the library where it can be launched.
