About this document

Karyotype Abnormalities in CML Blast Crisis by Rodrigo Barros is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study analyzed karyotype abnormalities in 122 patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in blast crisis, finding that 63% developed additional cytogenetic abnormalities alongside the Philadelphia chromosome. The presence of these abnormalities was significantly associated with shorter survival and lower response rates to treatment, particularly in nonlymphoid blast crises. The results suggest that routine cytogenetic assessments should be performed during CML treatment to better understand prognosis
