What is Benefits of CHG Cloths in Surgery about?

The review aimed to evaluate the benefit of preoperative washing with chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG)-impregnated cloths on surgical site infection incidence. Three studies were included in a meta-analysis. Use of CHG-cloths the evening and morning before surgery was associated with lower odds of surgical site infection compared to no preoperative washing or washing with antibacterial soap. However, further high-quality studies are needed to confirm the benefit of CHG-cloths compared to usual practices.
