What is Exclusive Breastfeeding and Depression Link about?

This research investigates the moderating effect of exclusive breastfeeding at 3 months on the relationship between prenatal and postpartum depression among 334 women in Portugal. The findings indicate that women with prenatal depression who engaged in exclusive breastfeeding reported fewer depressive symptoms and lower rates of depression postpartum compared to those who did not breastfeed exclusively.
