What is Canine Splenic Stromal Sarcoma Study about?

This study retrospectively analyzed 47 cases of canine splenic stromal sarcoma to assess prognosis and investigate podoplanin as a marker. Histological classification identified subtypes including undifferentiated stromal sarcoma and complex nodular hyperplasia. Podoplanin expression was assessed to indicate tissue of origin. High mitotic count and stromal sarcoma diagnosis were associated with shorter survival time. Podoplanin may help identify stromal sarcomas of splenic origin.
