What is History of the Seventh-day Adventist Church about?

The assigned reading discussed the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, from the Millerite movement of the 1830s-1840s that gave rise to the Church, to figures like Ellen G. White who provided prophetic authority. After the 1844 Great Disappointment, Adventists intensified Bible study and developed doctrines like the sanctuary and investigative judgment. The reading reinforced the importance of studying history to understand identity and prophecy, and of clinging to faith in Jesus despite life
