PSX syndrome prevalence was studied in 850 patients over 60 years old in northwest Spain. PSX syndrome was found in 18.9% of patients overall and 28.7% of those with cataracts. The average age of patients with PSX was 73.16 years old. Bilateral PSX was seen in 73.3% of cases and glaucoma was present in 49% of patients with PSX. The frequency of PSX increased with age and did not differ between sexes.
