This study evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of detecting Histoplasma capsulatum antigen in urine samples from 415 HIV-positive patients in Mexico suspected of having progressive disseminated histoplasmosis (PDH). The study found that of the patients, 108 (26%) were confirmed to have PDH based on cultures or histopathological examinations.
