About this document

Polysaccharide and Polymer Quiz by EARLY NESYA HIDAYAT is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Polymers are composed of monomer subunits joined by covalent bonds. Amylopectin contains the greatest number of branches among polysaccharides. Cellulose, which cannot be digested by humans and contains unbranched beta glucose molecules, is being studied. Lipids cannot be considered polymers because their monomers are not connected by ionic bonds. A carbon-carbon cis double bond is associated with cardiovascular health while a trans double bond created artificially is not.
