About this document
Understanding Dyspraxia as a Disability by Annah Caponpon Galor is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Dyspraxia is a disorder characterized by poor motor control and coordination. It causes difficulties with balance, fine motor tasks, hand-eye coordination, and organization. Students with dyspraxia may be clumsy, sensitive to touch, distracted by noises, and have trouble with motor planning and coordination of both sides of the body. Teachers are advised to provide warnings for loud noises, a quiet space, and accommodations for sensory sensitivities. Occupational therapy is also recommended.
