Private property in Islamic law includes all permissible things which are owned and have financial value. Property is classified into several categories including: 1) Valuable (things that can be owned) and non-valuable (prohibited things). 2) Immovable (land, buildings) and movable (money, cars, animals). 3) Similar (fungible goods sold by unit) and dissimilar (unique goods like houses).
