This lab report examines the role of phytochrome in lettuce seed germination. An experiment was conducted exposing two varieties of lettuce seeds (concept and two starr) to different light treatments: red light, far red light, white light, and a dark control. Results found that concept seeds germinated more in far red light and two starr seeds germinated more in red light, supporting the hypotheses.
