What is Health Workers about?
The study assessed knowledge, awareness and compliance with standard precautions among health workers in northern Nigeria. It found that half of respondents had poor knowledge, though nurses, midwives and community health officers generally had better knowledge. Over half were aware of precautions from seminars and workshops. Compliance was generally low.
