What is On-Field Calibration of Electronic Nose about?

This document discusses the on-field calibration of an electronic nose device for estimating benzene concentrations in an urban pollution monitoring scenario. A 13-month field study was conducted where the electronic nose collected measurements at a main road in an Italian city. A neural network calibration model was developed using data from the first month and evaluated over the full study period. Results showed the calibration was effective for over 6 months but seasonal influences required recalibration
