About this document
Swine Manure Biochar for Tetracycline Removal by Sourabh Badiger is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the preparation and effectiveness of swine manure-derived biochar (SM-BC) for removing tetracycline (TC) from water. The biochar produced at higher temperatures (700-900 °C) demonstrated significant adsorption capacities (423-437 mg/g), comparable to commercial activated carbons, and exhibited strong chemisorption mechanisms. Additionally, the spent SM-BCs showed potential for effective chemical regeneration, indicating their viability for practical water treatment applications.
