About this document

Evaluation of Skull Implant Biomechanics by alperenacar is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study evaluates the bio-mechanical properties of four different skull implants using finite element methods to determine their effectiveness in cranioplasty. The implants include titanium and PEEK materials, and the analysis reveals that PEEK exhibits superior mechanical properties, with the half wedge-shaped triangular parabolic PEEK mesh showing the best performance. The findings suggest that PEEK implants provide better brain protection and comfort compared to traditional titanium implants.
