What is Klebsiella pneumoniae Antibiotic Resistance Analysis about?

This study analyzed antibiotic resistance patterns of Klebsiella pneumoniae clinic isolates in Turkey through a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies published from 2000 to 2015. It found high resistance (>40%) to several commonly prescribed antibiotics. Extended-spectrum beta-lactamase production was found in 39.66% of isolates on average. Resistance to carbapenems like imipenem and meropenem was lower at 5.1% and 3.4% respectively.
