About this document

Matrix Operations in MATLAB Guide by nazhirah musa is a document available to read on EtoBox.

A simply supported beam carries a uniform distributed load along its whole span. The bending moment is calculated at every meter of the beam. The bending moment is determined using the formula: mx=ra*x - q*x^2/2, where ra is the reaction at the left support calculated as ql/2, q is the uniform load, l is the span, and x is the distance along the beam from 0 to l. The bending moment is calculated for x from 0 to 6 meters and is displayed as a vector with values ranging from 0 to 315 kNm and back to 0.
