Cultural and Educational Rights are protected under Articles 29 and 30 of the Indian Constitution. Article 29 guarantees minorities the right to conserve their distinctive language, script and culture. Article 30 gives minorities the right to establish and administer their own educational institutions. The state cannot discriminate against minority institutions when providing aid. Additionally, no citizen can be denied admission to state-funded schools based on religion, caste, race or language.
