Can I read Editor's note on EtoBox?
Editor's note by Robert I. Webb is a Economics, Econometrics and Finance article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Editor's note about?
Risk management has traditionally focused on managing exposure to price risk. Indeed, futures markets were largely developed to facilitate managing exposure to commodity price risk. However, market participants face many financial risks besides price risk. Of these risks, credit risk is arguably one of the most important and-until the development of the credit derivatives market-more difficult to manage exposure to. The rapid growth of the credit derivatives market demonstrates the practical importance of this new market. It also has sparked more academic interest in both credit risk and credit derivatives. It is my pleasure to introduce readers to this special issue of the Journal of Futures Markets on credit risk and credit derivatives. I think that you will enjoy reading these interesting and provocative articles.
