What is Bologna about?

The University of Bologna underwent significant reforms during the Napoleonic era, leading to the establishment of separate faculties for Medicine and Surgery. This necessitated new facilities and the creation of a University Museum System comprising fourteen museums, including notable collections in anatomy, anthropology, and geology. The university has maintained its status as a leading institution for medical studies in Italy, with a rich history of anatomical and naturalist collections.
