What is Vitreomacular Traction Syndrome: Two Case Reports about?
Vitreomacular traction syndrome is an idiopathic condition in which an incomplete posterior vitreous detachment with residual attachment and traction at the macula causes visual deficits. Routine examination of one patient and a follow-up examination of a glaucoma suspect revealed decreased visual acuity associated with vitreomacular traction syndrome in both patients. The two cases are discussed and a literature review of vitreomacular traction syndrome is presented.
